Installing SQL Server 2000 service pack 4 might help you with this problem.
I was creating some php scripts on my own windows XP pc at work with XAMPP, but then I encountered a problem when connecting to our MSSQL server located within the company LAN. I checked my access details – the username, the password, the database name – they are all correct. I even checked phpinfo. MSSQL support is enabled.
I don’t know, but according to some, copying ntwdblib.dll to WINDOWS\system32 folder will solve the problem. But in my case, it still didn’t change anything.
